Artemisias alba "Canescens"
Artemisias, named for the greek goddess Artemis (hence the spelling..), are a group of sub-shrubs which I love for their silvery coloring and interesting textures.
They are mediterranean plants and as so, require full sun and good drainage (or full sun, good drainage and protection from drenching winter rains here in England).
Most have small yellow flowers (which I remove), but which, in the right combination can be pleasing.
Being sub-shrubs they don’t tend to live very long.
